Bogor Botanical Garden is the largest botanical garden in Indonesia, located in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. Bogor Botanical Garden was established in 1817 by Governor General Thomas Stamford Raffles during the Dutch East Indies administration. It has an area of more than 87 hectares and has a diverse collection of plants, including rare plants and a collection of endemic Indonesian plants. There are thousands of plant species from all over the world, one of which is the Rafflesia Arnoldi flower. The Bogor Botanical Garden also serves as a conservation area as well as a place to study plant adaptation, planting and plant development.

Apart from being a place of research and conservation, the Bogor Botanical Garden is also a popular recreational spot. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature, take a walk in the garden, or attend special events held at the Bogor Botanical Garden.

Museum Zoologicum Bogoriense or Zoological Museum has been established since 1894. It began with the establishment of the Landbouw Zoologisch Laboratorium, a small laboratory located in the Bogor Botanical Garden area that was tasked with collecting and researching insects on agricultural plants. Over time, the research aspect continued to expand to various other types of fauna such as fish, molluscs, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. Inside the museum, visitors can find up to 2,768,044 preserved animal specimens. This collection includes a variety of rare and endemic species that can only be found in the Indonesian region. The types of fauna on display consist of 211 species of birds, 88 species of mammals, 92 species of reptiles and amphibians, 55 species of fish, 243 species of mollusks, 3 species of crustaceans, and 262 species of insects. One of the museum's main attractions is the intact skeleton of a 27-meter-long blue whale, which is the center of attention for visitors.
