Bogor Botanical Garden is one of the largest and oldest botanical gardens in Indonesia. It is located in the center of Bogor City, West Java. Bogor Botanical Garden was established in 1817 by the Governor General of the Netherlands, Thomas Stamford Raffles. The garden originally served as a place for research and conservation of tropical plants. With an area of about 87 hectares, Bogor Botanical Garden has more than 15,000 species of plants, including various types of trees, flowers, and medicinal plants.
